UV Curable Fiber Coating Resin for Fast Production is a photo-curable functional material specifically developed for high-speed fiber drawing processes. It employs a unique initiator system and rheological modification technology to achieve an optimal balance between coating speed and protective performance. This type of high-speed production material achieves millisecond-level curing within the 365-405nm ultraviolet spectrum, with coating speeds as high as 3000 m/min. It serves as a key chemical material in modern fiber manufacturing for enhancing production efficiency and reducing energy costs.
In terms of material performance, this resin achieves three technical breakthroughs. First, its curing shrinkage is less than 1.5%, effectively reducing fiber microbending loss, with additional attenuation below 0.02 dB/km at 1550nm. Second, its post-cure modulus is adjustable between 0.8-2.0 GPa, with elongation exceeding 60%, meeting mechanical protection requirements for various applications. Third, it offers excellent weather resistance, maintaining over 85% of its properties after 3000 hours of QUV aging tests, complying with IEC 60793-2-50 standards. Its innovative low-viscosity formula (less than 2000 cps) ensures good leveling and thickness uniformity during high-speed coating.
This type of fiber manufacturing chemical is widely used for primary coating of G.652 and G.657 series telecommunication fibers, as well as surface protection for specialty fibers like bend-resistant and high-temperature resistant fibers. Production data shows its curing energy requirement is below 200 mJ/cm², over 40% lower than traditional coatings, saving more than 30% in energy costs per ton of fiber produced. Compared to solvent-based coatings, the UV-curable version achieves zero VOC emissions, aligning with global industry trends of green manufacturing and sustainable development.
