Cat5e cable usually consists of 4 pairs of twisted wires, each wire is usually 24 AWG (American Wire Gauge). That is, the diameter is about 0.511 mm. These pairs are twisted with a specific lay length to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. In addition, each conductor is usually insulated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or PE (polyethylene). Cat5e ethernet cable has a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which helps improve the quality of data transmission. Cat5e cable has a smaller delay error, ensuring the accuracy and real-time nature of data transmission. The standards of Cat5e cables mainly follow international standards such as TIA/EIA-568-B and ISO/IEC 11801.
