The Drum Twister Laying Up Machine inherits the advantages of unidirectional twisting of the cage stranding machine, but avoids twisting the cage with extremely high weight and rotational inertia. It allows the central reinforcement of the optical cable, including the payout reel, traction device, and take-up device, to rotate synchronously and coordinate, while other stranding units are twisted back and out in place, achieving the same effect of twisting the stranding unit back and winding around the strengthening element.
The payout unit of this equipment is divided into multiple independently rotating active payout mechanisms. The payout reel can be PN630, PN800 or even larger, and the number of payout reels can be 6,12,18,24, used for producing large length and multi-core branch optical cables. In addition to its advantages such as fast twisting speed, high production efficiency, and easy maintenance, the coiling cable forming machine is more suitable for producing large length multi-core branching optical cables.
